They all have their pros and cons. GSM's SIM-cards makes it easy to swap between phones (and swap between numbers). The japanese system have had better speed for surfing, and also quiet better soundquality. But as it looks today the're about the same towasrds the costumer, exept for the SIM. There's also sim card in CDMA, called RUIM card. it's size just the same with SIM card. For the injected number the operator usually sell the number bundled with the phone. Just like SE with vodafone, vodavone sold the number with the phone n the phone was lock so it can't be used with another phone. There are two type of CDMA services, Fixed wireless n GSM like. From the cost it was cheaper if using CDMA but it can be used locally (look a loki a home phone, just say a home phone that mobile ). Data transfer of CDMA was faster than GSM, but with 3,5G (HSDPA) iI think is almost the same nowdays.
