Great job Iver. Karma for U 2. Btw, has anyone compare the sound quality??? It's not that good close to siemens WAV (IMA-ADPCM). Btw, the interface on my friend phone was undecribed. The only thing we know was increase or decrease volume using joystick up and down.

When I get my C65 (in 1-2 weeks?), I will try to convert it to SL65 and then patch it so it can play MP3

Thanks to Marsovac, who wrote this: The short patching instructions for enabling mp3 on X65 Series: 1 ) you must have installed Elfloader in mobile 2 ) Download This Archive 3 ) Extract to folder 4 ) Copy to this folder your fullflash, and rename to "Flash.bin" 5 ) Run file "MakePatch.bat" 6 ) It will create file "AudioHook.vkp" 7 ) Apply this patch 8 ) Copy file "mp3.elf" to your phone. 9 ) Associate "mp3.elf" with extension *.mp3 by extension.cfg 10) Restart phone and enjoy mp3's Obviously some previous knowledge of patching, as well as the appropriate cable, etc... is essentialIt's not just everyone's cup of tea... Where can find full flash in my c75 and how can use elf programs?

As the most of the Siemens patches, and other useful software are done by Russian and Czech programmers, then the best place to look for are siemensmania.cz and allsiemens.ru (sites and forums)... I know, the problem is a language barrier but one can always try to ask there in English and might get some useful information. Besides of that, there are plenty of different patches on German modopo.com, so have look there... BTW I would not recommend mp3 patch on CX65 - it simply makes no sense because of the lack of the free memory / no support for the memory cards... www.siemensmania.cz/elfy.php

I tried ELF patches. It's less risky. but it needs some preparations (based on other patches & folders). Could you please explain the basic of how to install it and where to download it? It would be much appreciated.

Ah, I have now figured out that I must convert my CX65 to CX70 before I can put ELFloader on it The same way, my brother's ME75 must be converted to C75... That's at least one step closer [edit] You can download the ELFloader patch and data files from this site: forum.siemens-club.org/viewtopic.php?TopicID=61759&page=0[edit 2] I tried to install it (copy the files + apply the patch). But the phone didn't turn on after that I clicked "undo patch" and then it worked again. Please tell me how to install the ELFloader properly

I download patches from kibab patches.kibab.com/patchesto set up ELF's you should apply some patches: - Function Library - SWI-Hook - API - ElfLoader (You should apply these patches & the dependant patches if you found any on kibab. Sometimes you find "additional files" then you should download them too ) or just apply the ELF Pack patch The main difference between ELF loaders or packs v2.0 & v1.8++ is the way to customize "extension.cfg" to assign icons & asociate certain Elf to an extension. check these files www.geocities.com/ahmedhosni2002/Download.zipthey made new versions of MP3 players (with custom skins ) I tried this patch myself on a friend's CX65 (converted to CX70). On our arabic sites, some managed to run MP3 on S65 i didn't make firmware backup for any . If I can get the CX65 again, I'll send you the patched firmware. you can restore it using x65 flasher

Hi. Thanks for all the info I have tried everything, but the phone won't turn on after I patch the ELF patch So, I asked somebody no modopo.com and he said he had the same problem. He said that my phone was an early released version, with FW 02-06. That was indeed correct - my phone came with FW06. Well, he gave me the solution how to fix it. He said I have to renew my bootcore with PapuaUtils. Here is the link he gave me: forum.siemens-club.org/viewtopic.php?TopicID=42803&page=140From that thread I found a link to a FAQ.. Here: www.siemens-club.org/faq/index.php?Action=showarticle&faqID=248If I translate that Russian FAQ into English (with babelfish), I get this: - And in the manner that correctly noticed Black Dog, those, who altered M65.chkh'shch in CX70 from the early piercings of versions 02-06, telephone not to vklyuchayet'sya because of function SWI_.AB (function from the library the elf of pack or large library for MP) turning into butkor, or still it has numerous divergence in the addresses of functions, that it is not difficult to verify in Smeltere, sgenerirovav lib. Funk for its FF. As symptoms, the definition of the version of butkora in PapuaUtils as "" - (v00).
In order to correct this, it is necessary to renew butkor by program PapuaUtils.
As we make: TP it does not be required. All keys of dolzheny to be calculated, S -key introduced (supplementary sheet the codes). On the supplementary sheet "different" cutter, schitayvayem IMEI.
1. we place jackdaw on the supplementary sheet Of "flesh": "record BCORE V22(.R65).." (it can be and another version of butkora). 2. we harvest "to carry out" and for the cable without the automatic start instantly briefly poke button "vkl" or we immediately poke lace, if it with the charging... 3. must it will appear inscription "ashlar it is loaded", we await successful completion. 4. we place jackdaw in "flesh": the "conversion of keys into flesh, replacement is master, replacement by 76,5008, 5009, 5077)". 5. we harvest "to carry out" and await the fulfillment 6. we load bodies in "Service mode" and on the page "different" we enter in window Freeze schitannyy previously IMEI (it is possible to read from OTP). 7. We harvest "cutter". 8. it is reloaded into the "normal mode" and we check...
Special appreciation to comrade J -Man'u for advice for renovation;)
And we do not forget, that entire otvetsvennost' for the manipulations with butkorom and telephone as a whole on you.
It's really a crappy translation, but we get some clues... Could anybody help me to try to understand the procedure?

A helpful moderator on modopo.com called "madmax" helped me with this issue. Here goes his answer:
first fill all key fields in the keys tab including s-key phone should be switched off
1. select new bootcore on flash tab 2. select run in the tab and press red key of phone if software tells you to 3. wait until action is complete 4. select recalc all keys, replace master and replace blocks 76,... 5. see 2. 6. switch mobile to service mode 7. enter correct imei or read from phone and press freeze in misc tab 8. switch mobile to normal mode
on german version of PapuaUtils, some tabs or options may have different names!

for C75 ; use generator to generate this line ==> 0268: FFFFFFFF 0xA07D6060 ; 9A: ;__arm int ChangeVolume(unsigned char Volume) You can find generator AudioHook_c75v22.zip on (http://patches.kibab.com/cnt.php5?d=c75v22&f=AudioHook_c75v22.zip) I downloaded those files and generated the patch. But when I try to apply the patch using V-Klay, it refuses to install the patch. An error appears: What did I do wrong? Can you help?

Looks like there's one extra digit in the new contents, either the A or one of the F's. Normally they'd be grouped in multiples of 4.

I have now come so far with the patching on my C65 that I can open MP3 files and play them. But I can only play the first two seconds of mp3 files, and then it stops.. I think it's because I haven't applied the audiohook patch. I am still having problems with the AudioHook patch :S I tried another Audiohook generator, but now I get another error when I try to apply: If I accept to apply the patch, the phone shuts down when I try to play any wav or mp3 audio. Any ideas?
