IE add-ons , as I know there are only patches , could you provide me with some examples of IE , let's say IE 6.x, add-ons ? just to compare them with FF and opera extensions , I'd used that IE for a while and never heard of any extensions , only patches For example the Adobe Reader that opens inside IE is a plug-in, flash-player is a plug-in. And here are some plug-ins for IE7, and might work with IE6: [Linky]

but those are just ... now how can explain that ?! those plug-ins or add-ons , are just enhancements for the browser itself to view some pages that contain flashs and to view PDF ... etc , nothing more
now you can compare them with FF or Opera extensions which are more than enhacements for the browser, FF extensions make FF more than a web-browser .e.g. torrent downloader , youtube videos downloader , anonymity programme , webphone .... etc
there is no way to compare them , and you can't even call them extensions !

anyway, IE is waaaaaay behind FF, it was that way 3 years ago, and is that way in the future.
