I can't eaven gat an back-up from it. I press # while I start it up. The BenQ-Siemens logo is shown, and it stays there. If I boot it up normally it will show the logo but then reboot. Now I try using the Brew Mobile Comander, but it can't find the phone! I've changed the settings to the right port, but still it can't find it. Is it something I've missed, or is my EF81 completely dead?

Ok, just boot it up in the download mode, and fill it with fresh firmware

You need: -> yur DCA140 datacable -> one 3Gswup, for example, from www.gsm-multifund.de-> install the 3GSwup on your computer, it will also install the cable drivers. -> Start the phone in the download mode. (# pressed, while turning on) -> plug it to the computer -> launch the 3GSwup. It will detect your phone. -> press next on the program, it will do all alone, and please, do not touch your phone, until the program said it was all done! I am not sure, but i guess it is better with the flip open. Also, I believe saving your phone, is way more important than one java game. good luck man

I tried version 58, but the phone never started after the first reset. After a while 3GSwup started to search for a phone. So I disconnected it, now it wont start, only if I plug it in the charger, but then it starts in "factory test mode".. :\ I'm now going to try connect the battery to one of my other phones and see if it's to discharged, and in that case charge it..

@ andnewman: To load the emergency mode, press the # key, and keep it pressed while you boot up. now, install the FW. @ roeleboel: Welcome here! With SXGController (now called BMC) downloadable from bezysoftware.net once you have the phone connected to it, you press "phone -> mode -> online" in the program.

My phone doesn't start at all when pressing the red key. Niether does it if I also press the # key. Only if I connect the charger it starts, but then as soon as I disconnect it it turns off.

probably you need to charge it. Try to match the battery pins to another phone you have, and charge it.

i had more luck with my E81 when i didn't had the cable to charge it. I charged the E81 battery with my SFG75. it was perpendicular. | | | | |------------------ Something like that drawing, and it was fixed to the phone with ducktape xD

EF81 battery doesn't fit in any of my other phones. The connedtor is placed wrong. So I have to make a cable from the battery connector in the phone to the connector on the battery. But I've found a victim! An old dead charger!

Hey , Thanks for the reply, now i downloaded the program BMC its seems that everything works in that program, but i cant turn my phone back to online the only think that works is the reset option and not the offline, online or factory mode...
