My EF81 doesnt open pics above I guess 200kb. I transferred the memory card from E71 to EF81 and it wont open the snapped pics. I certainly know that its 2mp cam would take higher quality pics. Why is this happening?

I have similar problem, but with SXG75. If i send one 1.3 shot taken with SFG75 to it, it open, but only in small size. This problem can be due to one "small" incompatibility. weird, it it can be. Try to edit that image on your computer, and then, open again with your EF81

so does that mean I have to always put big pics from pc? coz I have seen some big pics not open when transferred from pc either.
and yes I can see them as thumbnails and the wierd thing is they also open sometimes.
the last time I got a memory problem. so I guess its the ram.

or try moving around between mem card, or internal memory.

I guess, it needs to have more memory. So I will have to free some internal memory.

I have the same problem. It's the RAM. And it has nothing to do with the file size, but with the size it will take up when converted into GPU-compatible data. The data is not raw-data nor any regular file-type. It's a data-type that the Qualcomm chip understands. I have tried some different pictures, and the result was that the resulotion and file size doesn't mather. Eg a JPG at 1.2MB can open but not a 700kB. The same resulotion, but different scenes.
