Here will be listed all the ODM phones of Siemens.
And what that means?
It means that is not produced by Siemens, is made by one company payd by Siemens to produce phones.
And why the reason of this?
Is a matter of costs reduction.
And is there much difference from Real Siemens?
Well, you can find features not present on current Siemens selfmade phones, some more limitations, and only sigthly different usage.
Shall we buy this ODM phones or not?
This is all by your taste, and don't expect things to run as the same way on other Siemens standart phones...

What is the best choice of GSM ODM phones???
Beside is limitations in software, SF65 is one of the best ODM ever made. Limitations like no amr or wav tones, softkeys costumisations, and not to rich adress boock, are forgived w\ the voice dialling and voice comands, and their exclusive clamshell design with rotative screen, 1,3MP camera, and flash... All made by one french company.
The really bad point is because the older versions are very, very problematic. Note that this comment is based on the devices avaiable at the original thread date
Will be new ODM's\OEM's on future?
The answer is yes. All you need is to check this thread to see any updated phone list.
Some of those models are OEM (completely designed and manufactured by others, with the Siemens logo slapped on them), while others are ODM (manufactured by others, following specs from Siemens). Generally, OEM can be distinguished from ODM because OEM's have different interface connectors and accessories.
So, the Bosches, the Motorolas, the BenQs, the CL5x's and the STxx's are OEM's, while the rest are ODM's.
Thanks to DW for OEM\ODM meaning information
