Java applications/midlets cannot control anything when they are not running... I don't know any midlet for setting passwords on your files. Have you tried to search on www.getjar.com?

ha, find something: Ever want to lock some file in your mobile phone ?.... (this is the intro for the midlet) But the midlet requires a phone with File Connection API (JSR 75) where user can access phone's gallery/memory. (Example: SE K750i and w800i). Here's the link: www.waptech.net/Locker.htmbut it is a trial - It costs 6$ but I ain't buying it ...

good application thx guys btw xsite why not you hide your folders by SieFM i do this Sorry for quoting this too late but you can do this with the File Manager in Extras. I use it when I want to hide some files from curious eyes, I created a folder named Transfer on the root of the phone for files that are ready to be copied into PC. For files that sohuld be hidden, I put them into the system/my_name_folder or in java/jam/system - i created a folder named "system" cuz people here don't go anywhere near something called system. The file manager is also cool if you want to send the .jar file of a game or application to another phone.

Sorry, but I have not tried My photo. That Locker application is cool. Quite similar to Mobile Safe. In File manager you cannot "hide" folders like in SieFM, but you can make folders that won't appear in "my stuff". If you hide folders using SieFW, you cannot even see them in File manager in extras menu

[quote author=iver56 board=java thread=1157126697 If you hide folders using SieFW, you cannot even see them in File manager in extras menu [/quote] What do you mean to hide folders in SieFM - you mean like make them hidden in attributes or?

Yes, attributes - hidden

i think hide is more perfect because if someone saw that you need to enter password to acces he will understand that you may hide it for adult

No man You'd have to open the java application in order to access the files. You cannot open them from "my stuff" explorer.

Is it specially made for x65 and x75, or is it for all phones? I would try it if I had a phone to test it on
