There is an new uppgrade for P990, M600 and probebly the W950. This one will, according to SonyEricsson, improve the stability. The P990 have complained alot about it missing the JVM (Java Viritual Machine), this should also have been fixed. It will also improve the menu speed by removing the flashy animations. The phone will not need to be rebootet all the time either. And the craches will also have been fixed.
I'm currently installing this uppgrade on my M600, and I'll be back with more information about my expirience with it.

Starting up the phone.. I think it's making a final installation or something because I see a "loading bar" under the SE-logo.

First improvements. It doesn't show my PIN when I type it. And the loading bar is there every startup (it seems like that). I calready feel the improved menu-speed, but haven't restored my backup yet.
more to come

Have installed som free games, and I think they runs a bit slower than before. More lag etc. But it can also be that I've read a comment to a swedish aricle that it slowed down the java engine.

Interesting. Could it be a bug in the virtual java machine_?

Updates: Now I've got louder ringtones, but with the result that they sounds eaven crappier.. The phone is still stable after over two days uptime. Can we get a whole week without a crash or need for reboot?

Updates: The java will speed up after playing a while, so as long as it's not a game that need full speed action from the beginning (like racing games) it's OK. My phone haven't still crashed, and feels stable. It will still close down applications running without asking the user is it gets low on memmory, which I feel like a disadvantage.

Update: Today I got my first crash! But it was easy solved, just press the on/off key and shut down. The battery wasn't needed to be removed.
