Hi,
I am new to this forum, but I found it great! I have a M81 for some months but there is some feature that I do not understand. It is Protect SMS. How it works and how it protects the sms?

I searched a bit around on the internet and found nothing relevant. Only thing I found out was that Siemens SX1 can encrypt SMS (password protect). I also searched in the full M81 manual, but the only thing that was written about "protect" was DRM (copy-protected ringtones, wallpapers, etc..) Maybe you can try the function in your phone and see what happens? Or you can wait 'till I get my E71 (which has the same platform as M81)

Thanks Iver for the information. I`ve done some of the things you said, but I did not found anything userfull When I protect a SMS. The phone just puts an Icon next to it, but nothing else change. I even set my phone code, but it does not use it. The only interesting thing is that you can not protect SMS on the sim card.

Welcome to SR-F! Isn't that to prevent deletion of the sms?
