I got the C72 phone abt a month and a week. It was on a T-mobile contract but luckily, it accepted my other sim. now, i want to use the gervice and have got all the settings done, sadly, it says network error when i try to access a page. I got a friend's phone AL21 and use the same setting on it and it did work..Can anyone help me get the C72 to work...I've been and still searchin!

Are you talking about WAP settings? Were there any pre-installed T-mobile GPRS/WAP and MMS settings? I don't know why it shouldn't work on your C72 if it does on your friend's AL21 Try clearing all GPRS/WAP and MMS settings profile, and download the correct settings again... I hope you get it working, mate edit: or do you mean that you don't get signal to the network? Is the sim card you have now for another service provider than T-Mobile?

thnx Iver for the reply but i got it to work..The tech guy messed with the settings lil bit.instead of the port being 9201 he used 8080..it worked after i change it...It had T-mobile. 02, and Vodafone GPRs/MMS setting pre-installed. Thats gone but now i have another problem, I can't get it to work on my pc. I read this post by Sandstormrs elsewhere and followed it but it still won't work I go to device manager and i have the phone installled as modem and the DCA 510 cable works fine but when i start dailing, its hang at Registering your computer on the network and give me Error: 734 PPP link terminated. Googled it and followed all the advice but still nothing..

that was just one generic information, of course it need some tweaks to work properly! instead, install the gprs assistant you can get with the MPM, and use one original datacable, or the irda i recomend the datacable for that.

thnx for stoppin by. I have the original DCA 510 cable i guess..It has some box on it with some leds on/off it that allows u to turn on/off the chargin feature..aint that the original cable?.. And yeah, i have MPM installed and Modem Assistant install the modem and everything..It detect my service provide alright but the APN is different from whats in my phone setting...I guess thats the problem. When I try dailing the connection, it hangs at Registering your computer on the network.. Error 734 PPP link terminated. What I am wondering is, does the setting on the phone in any way affect the setting on the pc as I know Modem Assistant query the phone or something during first time start up.. If yes, do i have to turn the HTTP option right under wap/wsp on th Protocol menu on instead? It won't work on the phone as it says invalid url no matter wat i type.. I need some help...

what u need on your phone, is to have :gprs: on the screen, with that dots. try to delete the modem under the device manager, and connect again the phone to be recognized. then, start the assistant

I have that on, i mean the :gprs: thing...I am going to try that right away.. Update: I did it..Del the modem under device manager and run Modem Assistant. It installed it again and whiles it was trying to connect, an error 734: PPP link terminated when it was registering my computer on the network.

That tech guy in the shop wasn't very helpful then And I'm not sure what could be the problem. You can use GPRS and browser on your phone. The cable is OK. The connection between PC and C72 is OK. What else do you need? Correct settings on the PC? But that's already done with the MPM GPRS internet setup wizard... I think you should go to the service provider support center again, and ask for help again. And if they refuse to help you there, write a letter of complaint! edit: And if they refuse to answer that letter, I will personally come and spank them with SandStorm's walking sticks

they have the poorest customer support in here if you ask me..I'm just on their network cos of low tarrifs for the gprs n free calls...nothin more really......I'll be going there for sure..it either gets done or i don't get out> SandStorm's walkin sticks....hehehehe update: The gprs (http, net) as sandstorm said was already activated..they got the sim, inserted it in a motorola v3 phone and it was just browsin alright..i am guessin now that the problem is with the phone..maybe t-mobile blocking Over-the-air service....I told Iver abt upgradin n he said I shd give it a try ...what you guys thinnnk??
