I have had the S65 for about 4 days, and it only worked for the first 2. Then it went off by itself, and when I came to turn it on all I got was a short beep from the phone and that's it. I tried removing the battery and the SIM card, leaving the battery out for an hour, charging the battery for more than 12 hours (like I read on the internet somewhere), but nothing.
When the power cord is NOT plugged in, I have to hold the "On" button down for a few seconds, and then I get a short beep.
When the power cord IS plugged in, I just have to click the "On" button (without holding it down) and I get the beep.
Has anyone ever heard of this?
I think BenQ closed down it's mobile phone division, so where else can I go for repair?
Thanks a million.

welcome. i think you need to load software on it. have you one datacable? must be original dca510, or one serial patching\flasher cable.
then, you need to download one winswup from our programmings section.

Thanks for the reply so quickly!
I don't know if this makes a difference, but it's an SK65, not S65 as I said in the subject.
Anyway, it was working fine for a couple of days and then stopped suddenly.
Does this still sounds like a software issue?
I don't have the cable, but even if I had it, the phone won't turn on as it is now, so will I be able to connect from the PC?
Thanks again.

WinSwups only need the phone can pass a little current, thats why we call "ignition" while we start the winswup, we press the red button for half second to the upgrade start. Lests hope it is software, but if it is hardware, then is much more worse... the better, is you to borrow a cable from one friend, original DCA-510
