Tool:1-> 2 small screwdrivers (the smallest and the secondary smallest from a precision mechanics set) 2-> Side cutter 3-> Soldering iron Material:1-> 2 resistances 10,,15 kOhm, 0.1 W (0.25 W goes also possibly with place problems) 2-> something tin solder 3-> two bits heat shrink sleeve for isolating As the first the plug housing is taken apart. In addition with the smaller screwdriver the 4 plastic hooks (1) very carefully out-lever and at the same time with the larger screwdriver the housing spread (2). The plug (12 pin Lumberg) has the following allocation: Pin 2 -> Ground, Pin 3 -> DATA Tx (referred on the Handy), Pin 4 -> DATA Rx (referred on the Handy). The other pins are not occupied. So that the cable is recognized as original Siemens accessories, still 2 further important pins must be wired. Pin 5 -> Accesory DATA, Pin 7 -> Accesory Clock Fortunately no data must be exchanged with the accessories. It is enough, if these pins are pulled through Pulldown resistances on Ground (pin 2). 10 to 15 kOhm resistances are suitable outstanding for it. Everything well with heat shrink sleeve isolate, for testing the cable connect it to PC and phone. Now, press *#06# followed by 'more'. Then, scroll down untill the "ACC:" line, and if all is correct, you'll see plugged in: DCA-510[ usefull info: slim-lumberg pineouts]

because the original have it, and this one have a direct connection, and don't have it. Yes, the idea of this cable, is to do the 'dirt-work' the original can manage to apply patches, check the developer village forum, and the x75 series patching subforum. there you have the info you need
