I asked a teacher about using a concave lens. He said that it would be not so effective. Btw, I made another flashlight this evening (spent half an hour) But I think this one will be much less durable than my other one. I give it 6 month warranty The home-made SL plug: Krypton lightbulb: Finished:

My first "mammoth" ( ) flashlight is much brighter, but also much bigger, and is a battery-eater. This one is much smaller, consumes less power, and lights up everything around it (you can't point it at something).
