Originally posted by Iver on SiemensPlanetWhen I first saw the simple schematic for a flashlight, I decided to make one! When ahmedhosni2002 told us how to make slim-lumberg connectors, I got even more motivated. --------------------------------------------- I started collecting the required parts: Some leds from casemods I bought 2 years ago (this is only 3 of them): Here are the leds soldered in a "round mirror" from an old torch. There are 6 white LEDs. I have used a 200 ohm resistor (on the back) not to burn them. A piece of plastic (from a 5 year old toy) Which will serve as my slim-lumberg plug. It is adapted for the size of the phone port in my M75: A piece of cable (from a 7 year old CD-ROM) which will serve as the "pins" on the plug. As you can see, there are only 11 pins on it, but luckily I don't need the 12'th one. Here is an overview. As you can see, the plug is ready. It is tested and working. The leds are also tested and working. They make quite much light in a pitch dark room. Next part: Designing partPutting the parts together and make it look goodThanks to SP members: ahmedhosni2002 CX75 DireWolf

No, I am not a hardware engineer ;D (remember I am only 16 years old) In fact, this is my first home-made mobile phone accesory My next plan is to make a "travel" loud speaker for M75, instead of buying one. (You know, you put your mobile in the middle, and 2 speakers on the side) (and maybe I can make a battery charging option too, and maybe put a connector for datacable, and, and.... ) This is just a hobby. A very fun hobby!

One little step further. The flashlight is in working condition. Just a pic taken with my brother's ME75 (because my M75's cam is defect ): The "CD-ROM cable" is soldered to the leds.

Last step - Designing----------------------------------------------- Melted glue on the back of the torch: The "CD-ROM" cable is bent. Almost there... Here is my torch finished: What do you think?
