My friends, after successfully upgrading my E81 to FW19, I realized it still had the same very bad network coverage.
A bit annoyed, I opened the phone, and started to evaluate his hardware. In the main PCB, we see 2 clips on top. As a bit lower we have 4 pins. 2 of them to the speaker, and the other 2, for UMTS antenna.
What i did? I had to find a way to get coverage! My victim? the dead A50. I ripped out the circuits shielding metal (that square thing) and cropped it with one small scissor. I had to do the contours for the black plastic thing, were it was placed. I also needed to leave a small hole in my home-made antenna, to the pins connect to the speaker. In the end, after hours of testings, more antenna creations, and adjusting, finally got my E81 with proper coverage (now, instead of 1 bar or none in GSM, it have 4 in my place). As also today i got a little 3G coverage (no bars, but 3g signal on it. no worries, because my place have bad 3G coverage)
