if you're having troubles with viruses, trojans spyware's, get some Linux live distro like Knoppix just for internet and do everything you like on your windows

can't find a way to use my option globe trotter 3G+ on linux. don't know how to use it as modem, or how to put the internet apn.

Are you using a phone or a dedicated 3G-card? You need to find (or make tour own) drivers for it. Then you should be able to set up (how to do depends on the shell you're using) Ubuntu to use the "modem" for internet connection.

Latest? Well I don't know about build or anything, but Ultimate is not a "version number". Ultimate is one of the different levels of how advanced the OS is, os as Microsoft calls it "Edition". And Ultimate is the most advanced one. For a comparation table - [Linky]

Ha ha, thanks to an agreement between M$ and my university, I can have Windows XP Pro SP2 and Vista Business, both 32 and 64 bit versions, all for free! ;D And I'm still not going to install Vista!
